In a typical session, we might start by focusing on your thoughts and concerns of the current week, then move on to identify how this relates to your overall goals for therapy, and then conclude with helping you identify your personal ‘game plan’ to help you cope and feel more in control.  Sometimes therapy sessions can also help you focus on much deeper issues, such as difficult memories from your past.  Whatever we focus on, my goal is to help you feel more hopeful and optimistic about your life.  

A therapy session typically lasts 45 to 60 minutes and occurs once a week.  My rate is based on my years of experience along with current community standards, and I offer discounted rates for students and individuals who are struggling financially.  I am not currently in-network with any insurance company, but I would be more than happy to provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Just make sure psychotherapy is included in your medical insurance plan.
